What counts as a blank line - just empty, or also lines with only spaces?
Both. This tool removes any line that's completely empty and any line that contains only spaces or tabs, since either way there's no visible content left once you trim it.
How do I delete blank lines including extra ones stacked together?
Just run your text through the tool - it removes every blank line in one pass, whether they appear on their own or stacked several in a row between paragraphs. There's no separate "consecutive only" mode; all blank lines are removed regardless of position.
Does this remove blank lines in Excel or Word files too, or just plain text?
